I cannot let
this opportunity go by, I just have to make a special
mention of Dorothy, without whom none of this would
have been possible. Apart from the fact that I would
not be here at all if it were not for her. Her enthusiasm
and encouragement has been unceasing , even though I
have irritated her with my bad grammar. But the most
important contribution has been , Dorothy’s garden
! Such an inspirational source of material for photography.
She has designed and maintained most of it herself apart
from giving free reign to her son Edward to design and
build the sunken garden, which replaced the large pond
that had become difficult to manage. This lady I am
proud to say is my mother, she epitomises the essence
of life never wanting to waste a second , and all the
more remarkable is that she celebrated her 84th birthday
this year.
